Naturally Seasoned Firewood For Sale
Our naturally seasoned firewood is wood that has been allowed to dry in the sun in a controlled environment over the course of at least six months. It contains roughly 15% to 20% moisture when it is placed in the fireplace. You want some moisture left in the wood before burning because very dry wood creates very dense smoke and doesn’t create as much warmth as wood that still contains 15% to 20% moisture.

What Minnesota Department of Agriculture Certified Firewood Producer Means:
MDA firewood producers are certified for selling firewood based on treatment standards set by both the Minnesota Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture.
MDA Heat Treatment Certified means the company operates a kiln that has passed a rigorous inspection and testing process and has successfully demonstrated the ability to heat their firewood to a minimum core temperature of 140˚F for 60 minutes.
MDA Kiln Dry Certified means the company operates a kiln that has passed an inspection and testing process and has successfully demonstrated the ability to heat their firewood to a specified temperature and final moisture content.
